Inference vs. Assumption

DEFINTION:
  • Inference is an educated guess based on text evidence and personal experience.
  • Assumption in a determination made with no logical evidence -- nothing concrete or objective supporting it.
QUESTION 2:

Inference is when a guess is made with text evidence and personal experience; but an assumption is when a guess is made no logical evidence supporting the guess. Another thing that makes inference and an assumption different  from each other is the level of think for instance inference requires a higher level of thinking and assumption is a lower level of thinking. Some thing else about assumption is illogical while inference is more logical.

QUESTION 3 :
Two things that inference must be based on is text evidence and personal experience.

 QUESTION 4 :

Inferencing fits primarily in creating of Bloom's Taxonomy. Because you have to understand and remember. Once you remember and understand then you can evaluate the context. You make an educational guess (inference) and then create and idea what direction inferential guess will go.

Blog #5
When I moved down to Byan I was kind of nervous. Mostly because I don’t really have any friends down here. But at least I have my family and I also I live with my family so didn’t feel alone.  I was also a little nervous about finding a job and starting school. Once I got here and settled down, I was good. I got a job within two weeks living here and made friends at my job. And started school which wasn’t as bad as thought it would be. The only thing is I don’t really talk to the other students unless I must, I keep to myself for the most part.
My work keeps me occupied for the most part. I work about thirty- one hours a week and go to school at the same time. I have been working there since about September of 2018.  Which it makes it about seven months as of today. I have enjoyed working at Carriage Inn. It feels like a second family every time I go to work. The residents are super sweet. I enjoy talking to them and listen to them tell stories. And going to the events that they have at the retirement home, and dance with them and sing with them. Working there is a blast most of the time. But the only thing that sucks about working at my job is you get attached to the residents; and the residents either get sicker or they pass way. It really makes the job so much harder at time. Since I have been working there only been three residents that has passed away.
Another thing that was a good that came out of working at my job is my boyfriend. He's name is Philip he is the sweetest guy I have ever meet. But he is a very quiet guy. But once you get him out of his shell, he's the most talkative person. He’s very smart, he’ll tell me random facts about human health and things that he’s been learning in his EMT class. And he’s super funny, I can be upset at work and he knows exactly how to make me smile.
Moving down here has had a lot of positive outcomes. I'm going to school; I have job that I enjoy and look forward to seeing my residents. I have a lovely boyfriend that treats me right and makes me happy. I have friends that I can hang out and talk to.

In the article by David Brooks ‘Building Attention span’ and the video with Nicholas Carr ‘what the internet is doing to our Brains.’ Both talk about how crystallize intelligence is under threat due to the internet.
In the article that Brooks wrote he mentions how the internet effects the brain way thinking and how crystallized intelligence isn’t how I should be. For example in the article he said ‘ You have trouble concentrating for long periods.’ This makes crystallized intelligence under a threat ;because people are addicted to the internet can not concentrate for a long amount of time. Definitely can not concentrate long enough learn something valuable and important.
In the video with Nicholas Carr he mention how our crystallizing intelligence is under threat. He says this because we are becoming more consumed by technology. And technology is shortening our tention span. Doing that makes it harder for humans to learn something through crystallized thinking. Another thing he mentions is that us having everything at a click of a button is another reason why crystallized thinking is going down hill for human kind.
Both Brooks and Carr do not approve to fuild intelligence. They both do not like how internet is dumbing us down and make us an outsiders to the crystallized intelligence. And the more we are depend on the internet the more we jeopardize crystallized intelligence. And the more that the internet dumbs is down  and corrupts the crystallized intelligence.

Hi my name is Tayler Elwood. I am from Dallas Texas. I moved to Bryan / College station around the end of September. I moved down here have a fresh start. When I was living in Dallas I was not making the best decisions and wasn't heading down the right path. One day when I was at work I came up with the idea to ask my grandma and my aunt if I could come down to lie with them.

the most important people in my life would have to my grandma , my aunt ,and last but not lease my hamster . my grandma and my aunt are important to me because they raised a good chuck of my life. there more of a my moms than anything. My grandma is very important to me because she's the person I vent out to or tell her what's going on in my life to be honest that also goes for my aunt. But my aunt is way more understanding than my grandma. These two are very portative of me but at the same they let me be who I want to be and live my life to the fullest .the other person that means  a lot to me is my furry pal named Samson . he's  a teddy bear hamster .I got when thing were not going as planned and since I got him he's kind of has helped me through a lot things. What I mean by that he just makes me smile when he does the smallest things.

My goals that I hope to accomplish at Blinn is to get my nursing degree. When I get done with college, want to get a job as a psychiatric nurse. I really don't have much free time. I'm usually either at school or at work. I work at Carriage  Inn its a senior living place. To be honest I love working there because I enjoy talking and listen  to the residence stories about their life. The best part about working there is seeing what there up to even though there older they still act like  high scholars . They have their own clicks and their favorite table that they sit at every day for every meal.

Some things that I do when have some free time is make jewelry. this became a more of a recent thing. I mostly make jewelry as an outlet and to use my creativity. another thing I like t do is draw and listen to music. I mostly draw flowers, animals and nature things; but I cant draw people very well. And when it comes to music I'll listen to pretty much any thing. I'm always down to listen to new artist or new type of music.
